CMA is not a brokerage firm. CMA's sole business is to provide fee based independent and objective market analysis. Since CMA is not a brokerage firm, its revenue does not depend upon commission and fees from client trading. This means CMA is as free as possible from any influence, bias or conflict of interest, intended or not, that may be present in commission based firms that generate revenue only when the client trades the market.

Most analytical firms take a "shot gun" approach and attempt to analyze a multitude of futures markets figuring they'll be right on something. CMA made the decision to take a different approach. CMA's approach is to concentrate on analyzing a few select markets. The decision was to study the selected markets in great detail, learn their "personality", learn their unique characteristics, and to learn them well. To accomplish this in-depth analysis, extensive use is made of intra-day charting and analysis. For example, in the grain and natural gas markets, in addition to monthly, daily and weekly charts, seven different intra-day time frames are plotted and analyzed.
